But you know what is fun? Being home. With my people. In a familiar place that I love. Yes, that is definitely the fun part of this whole moving extravaganza.
There will be no pictures shared of our new apartment, yet - mostly because I haven't taken any pictures other than this one:
there's more where that came from if you want to be snapchat friends :)
But also mostly because it doesn't even look cute yet. I love our apartment, I really do. We have pretend-granite-looking countertops, a big island in the kitchen, 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, stainless steel appliances, and our bedroom is pretty close to twice the size of our bedroom in the old apartment. But the fact that there are boxes everywhere and no cute, decorative things displayed yet would not even do it justice. So the pictures will come at a later date, after I've gone through a million more rags cleaning this place and when things are looking fab around these parts. So, maybe like 7ish weeks from now...?
When I wrote my last post I was feeling quite a bit of uncertainty - moving and change are two very bittersweet things I think. And although I do know the first few months of any big change are always an adjustment, I am loving being back.
I love that my brother and sister-in-law have already stayed at our apartment in our extra bedroom. I love that I've already hung out with them two nights out of the 3 nights I've been back here. I love that we have a mental list of all the places we want to try downtown. I love that I've already seen my Grandma and I get to shop with my mom today at all the familiar stores.
I know it will still be an adjustment, but this is gonna be good :)
