Personal Goals | GF-FC-BH Link-Up #1

Helloooo Monday! And welcome to the first round of Get Fit, Feel Confident, Be Healthy! Brittany and I are so excited to get this link-up started. {Read the intro post here.}

Each Monday, I plan on sharing how I'm doing on my journey to be fit+fab. Like many other people, the beginning of 2014 meant that I told myself I need to make some changes. I weighed myself on the first of the year and, although the number on the scale was not quite the highest that I've ever seen, I wasn't too please with it either. I need to get back into a good exercise routine, because along with that comes healthier food choices and lots of water consumption. Exercise, good food, and lots of water then translates into healthier skin, more energy, and a want to wear something other than yoga pants.

I want to enjoy getting dressed in the morning. I want to look forward to workouts. And I want to feel like the food I'm eating is good for my skin, body, and mind. I'm planning on writing each Monday about how I did the week before - this might include things I need to do differently, a food + workout diary, a new favorite light recipe, what seems to be going well, etc/etc/etc. Today, on Week 1, I am going to focus on my goals

My goals to a more fit, confident, and healthy me are the following:
Exercise 5 days a week
Strength-train 2 days a week
Drink at least 64 ounces of water a day
Eat lower-carbohydrate, lean protein meals
Force myself to get a good night's sleep
{Lose 15 pounds}

I think these are completely do-able goals that will make me healthier, happier, and even give me more energy. Since the 1st of year I have not made any major lifestyle changes. I have been out of town since the beginning of 2014 (long story!) which means I have not yet started a good, regular workout routine; however, a person can always make healthy food choices! I know that I will be out of town at least until Thursday so the regular workouts won't start up quite yet, but I am going to think more about what I'm putting into my mouth and start choosing healthier options.

Each week I also plan on sharing where I'm at on the weight-loss side of things - how much weight I'm down in the last week and how much weight I'm down total. Since I am out of town and not able to do this today I will start up with it next week!
