Happy is a Choice

This girl is fab.u.lous. Like I love her. She's beautiful, genuine, and a truly caring and compassionate woman. She'll tell you how we met and a little about her new marriage and busy life. Go check out her blog so you can be friends with Brittany too - you won't regret it!

Hi friends-thanks for having me over here at Sam's blog today. If you're friends with Sam, then I am friends with you because Sam is one of my FAVORITE bloggers. We got connected this past fall through the CaraBox exchange and I am so thankful! I have loved getting to know Sam and she is seriously so genuine and sweet. On my birthday this year, she sent me a little card and a gift card to Starbucks because she knows that Starbucks is my love language!

One of my favorite things about Sam is that her and her husband are high school sweethearts and have been together since they were in their teens. I am a sucker for a good love story, and look up to Sam as a friend who is farther along in their marriage. I know who to ask for advice or who to share stories with, because marriage is fun, crazy, hard, and rewarding all at the same time.

My husband Ronnie and I are newlyweds, and got married on October 5th, 2013. You can find more details about our wedding here, here and here.

Now that its December, I have been looking on the past year wondering, where did the time go! In 2013 we had some really fun experiences and made some awesome memories! In June, we got engaged and also bought our first home.

My husband and I both started new jobs shortly after, me in July as a Recruiter and Ronnie accepted a position at our church working in the Hospitality Ministry. As we planned our wedding, I also was working on my masters degree, so time flew by!

After our wedding in October, we went on a dream honeymoon to Cancun, Mexico and enjoyed 7 days on the beach, drinking margaritas all day and soaking up the sun.

We hosted Thanksgiving this year with my parents and brother and his family, and also opened our home to all our friends who didn't have family in town. It was such a blessing to share that Holiday with some of our great friends!

I would love for you to come over to my blog Happy Is A Choice and say hello! I blog about being a newlywed, a follower of Christ, a runner, a career woman and everything in between!
